Isaac and his friend Colt decided to be Deal or No Deal girls this year. They won in the parade and nobody knew they were boys. Ashley was Hannah Montana and Lys was a cheerleader. They both won in the parade too. Lexi didn't go trick or treating.

We have aquired a new pet, his name is Sarge and he is a bearded dragon. He is really cool, we can hold him and he is really nice.

An Update on Isaac

Just wanted to let everyone know that Isaac went to the doctor's yesterday. They said he needs to wear his cast for 5 weeks, so he gets it off on October 17th. He has been feeling fine, he is still playing football and soccer whenever he gets the chance. He is not one to be slowed down.

Isaac broke his arm

As you can see, Isaac broke his arm. He fell during recess, he was playing football. We went to Children's Hospital ER, they said he has a buckle fracture of his radius. We have to go to a specialist in a few days to make sure everything is healing alright. He is feeling ok, he has a little pain.

Alyssa's first day of school and her first bus ride. It seems like she has waited forever to ride the bus. She was really excited. She is doing great in kindergarten, she loves her teacher. And he loves her too. He kissed her on top of the head because she could read a word that no other kid could read. She can also say her alphabet backwards, which is a great accomplishment, considering many adults cannot do this. I am so proud of her.

The Start of a New School Year

The kids started school on August 27th. Lexi is in 7th grade and in the high school. Isaac is in 5th grade and Ashley is in 2nd, they both go to the elementary school. Alyssa started kindergarten and she goes to the early childhood center. They all seem to like their teachers and are having a good time.

Our trip to Missouri

We took one more trip to Missouri this year. It was Rob's 15 year class reunion. It wasn't all fun though, his grandpa passed away a day before we got there. So it was a sad trip, but we got to see some family that we wouldn't have gotten to see. I guess you could say it was bittersweet. We got to spend a little time with Cindy and her family( we hadn't seen the boys for 2 years), and we spent a lot of time with his grandma (who is a great person). We did have some fun, we took the kids to the lake, and they got to ride the neighbor's water slide. They also got their picture taken with Mickey Mouse.

Our dear friend Jeanne will be turning 60 in September. So we decided to surprise her with a party. We had a little over 50 people, and boy was she surprised. We had such a good time!

We aquired a new puppy, her name is Abby and she is a 9 month old great dane. She already weighs about 90 pounds and is the size of a small horse. She is very lovable.

Sorry it has been so long since I have posted anything. It seems like we never have any time. So I have lots of pics to post, it has been a busy summer.

These are pics from when we were in Massachusettes. The beach was wonderful, it was very shallow, and the waves were little. The girls had a ball.

Just wanted to let everyone know that we are back from our trip to Massachusettes. It was a great time, we had so much fun. I have lots of pictures to share but for some reason my camera will not let me upload to the computer. So I am going to go get a CD made, then I will share them. We went to the most beautiful beach, Wingaersheek Beach, it was very shallow and the waves were very little. The girls just had the best time. I would love to vacation there next year with the whole family. We had a great time with my friend Lynn and her daughter, Megan, and of course her hubby, Mike, but he had to work.
Isaac's baseball team has made it to the championship game, which is on Friday. It has been rough, but the boys have done so well. On Friday if they win the first game, we have to play another game to get 1st place. We have had a great season, I will be sad when it is over.
This weekend my cousin is getting married on Saturday and we have a graduation party on Sunday for my other cousin. And next weekend, I may be taking a trip to Cincinnati to pick up our friends, Logan and Amber. So they can stay with us for a week. Isaac is also in a baseball tournament that week too.
We are so busy, it seems like summer has just started, but that it is almost over too.

Summer

As you all can guess, summer is a crazy time for our family. The kids finished school last Friday. Ashley had dental surgery on Friday also. Everything went well, she had a little problem with croup when they took the breathing tube out. But they gave her a breathing treatment and she was fine. Yesterday I took her to the doctors and she has strept throat. Last Saturday was crazy we had 2 soccer games, a baseball game, and a parade. So we left the house at 11:30 and didn't come home until 8:30. Then Sunday we had a parade. This week we had a baseball game on Monday, and one today and tomorrow. But soccer is finally done, and baseball playoffs start on Monday. Which reminds me, Ashley, Alyssa, and I are on our way to Boston on Monday. The two older kids have decided to stay with friends here. I have to pack, shop, get the oil changed in the van, and it seems like a million other things before we go. I will try to post often but if I don't just bare with me, I will eventually catch up. Have a great summer!!!!!

Graduations

On Wednesday Lexi had an awards ceremony for 6th grade, she had honor roll all year. It was nice to see her with all of her friends. So next year she goes up to the middle school, which is in the high school. She had step up day on Thursday, she went to all of the classes she will have next year. That is Lexi with her teacher, Mr. Schork and her best friend, Emmy.

Alyssa graduated from preschool yesterday, she has been there since she was 3 years old. She is ready for kindergarten.

Fishing Fun

Alyssa wanted her grandpa to take her fishing, so on Friday we went to a little farm pond. She was determined to catch a fish, she told us that she would stay until it was time to come back to PA if she didn't catch a fish. Well grandpa got her rod ready and in the water and wouldn't you know she caught a fish before everyone else was even ready. The kids all had a good time and everyone caught lots of fish.

Well we are finally home after 11 days of vacation. It definitely feels good to be back, but we had a great trip. Rob's dad was pleasantly surprised with his party and his kids being home to visit. It was great to see everyone, especially Rob's sister and her husband. We had a lot of fun. We also got to visit our good friends in Cincinnati, it was great to spend a little time with them. Now it is back to school and work. I will post some pics from our trip.

We had a great Mother's Day, first we started out with a soccer game. The coach gave all the boys a red rose for their mom, so there were 13 boys and 1 girl all crossing the soccer field with a rose for their mom. It was great. They won the game and it was a very physical one. Then we went to lunch at my favorite restaurant. After lunch we went to the trail to take pictures. We had a really fun time. We have decided this is something we will do often. Here are some of the pictures we took that day.

We have had a normal week, games and practice. Although last night we actually didn't have anything, so we worked out in the yard. Rob planted a weeping cherry tree for my mom for mother's day. And I started getting the pool ready, it is nasty because we didn't cover it. Hopefully it will be ready when we get home from vacation. Next week will be a busy one, I have to start packing.

We won our baseball game on Wednesday, it was a big win for our team. The team we played is one that we haven't been able to beat in a few years. Our boys played a great game.

Alyssa passed her kindergarten screening with flying colors. She impressed the teachers with her reading skills. So now we can request the teacher that we wanted, he is a great guy. All of the kids love him, and he pushes reading. I think Alyssa will excell with him as a teacher.

Tonite I am taking Lexi and her friend Emmy shopping for their birthdays. We will have fun.

Good News!

I just wanted to let everyone know my mom's heart cath came back good. They said everything is great and no need to worry about her heart. Plus her vascular doppler on her legs didn't show any problems either. I want to thank everyone for their thoughts and prayers.

We had 4 soccer games this weekend and won them all! Ashley played goalie and did a great job. Lys didn't want to play and quit near the end of the game. It was nasty and rainy all day Saturday, when we had 3 games, but Sunday was beautiful and 70. Last night we had a baseball game and won by 10 runs. Tonite and Thursday is soccer practice. Wednesday a baseball game and Friday practice. Saturday is a crazy day, a 10:00 soccer game, a 12:00 soccer game, a 3:30 soccer game, and finally a 6:15 baseball game. Plus Lexi has majorettes at 10:00 and a dance at 6:00. Thankfully Sunday is only church and a soccer game.

On Wednesday my mom has to go in for a heart cath. The doctor says just for precaution, say a prayer for her. I will update as soon as we know something.

Off to our busy week, plus I need to start getting ready for vacation in 2 1/2 weeks.

This weekend Rob and I traveled to Vermilion, OH to visit some friends. We had a great time, the weather was absolutely beautiful. On Saturday we went to Put-In-Bay, it is an island on Lake Erie. We took the ferry over to the island, and then drove a golf cart around. It was very relaxing. Afterwards we went back to Katie and Joe's and played horseshoes, ate dinner, and talked. On Sunday we went for a walk on a trail, ate lunch, played bocci ball and horseshoes. It was a great weekend and nice to be with such good friends. Here are some pics from this weekend.

Our week hasn't started out so good. I had to take Ashley to the ER on Sunday, she had strept throat and was dehydrated a little. She had strept 2 weeks ago, I guess the medicine they gave her didn't work. She is feeling much better today. Our weather is nasty, cold and rainy. Friday is Lexi's 12th birthday, she is really excited. And Rob and I go to Ohio on Saturday. Say a prayer for my mom, she has to take the kids to 4 soccer games and pictures this weekend.

I have to repost Lexi's pics, she didn't want Josh's pics on her page. Also we had to give Sandy to some other people, she had been abused before we got her and she was scared. She didn't want to come out of her cage to go outside, so we found her a new quite home with no kids but another golden retriever, the couple were older and were very nice.

Here are a few pics of the kids dying Easter eggs. Lexi is missing, I guess something about almost being 12, it isn't cool anymore. Then there is Isaac being a Leprechaun, he is a funny one. Sorry I haven't posted in almost a month,we have been a little busy. Just this week we have baseball practice Monday and Friday, and 6 soccer practices Tuesday thru Thursday. Then 3 soccer games on Saturday and 1 on Sunday. And majorettes on Saturday. Plus Rob and I are going away next weekend for our anniversary. I am looking forward to it, we are going to visit friends in Ohio, with no kids!

Sorry everyone, we have been a little crazy. Soccer has started and that added to everything else going on I don't seem to have the time to sit down and post anything. Our very good friend's nephew passed away and she has had lots of out of state company. So we have been busy visiting them. My mom had a birthday on Saturday and we celebrated with homemade pizza, cake, friends, and family. It was a good time. Isaac started practice for one of his soccer teams, so Monday and Wednesday are his days for practice, and Thursday he has a practice game. Ashley has practice on Tuesdays and Thurdays, and Daisy's on Wednesday. Alyssa hasn't been called yet for her practice, and Isaac still has another soccer team and baseball. I don't think we have enough days in the week.

Ashley had her teddy bear demonstration at daisy's on Wednesday. She had such a good time, the lady taught the girls to treat everyone the same even if they are different. She gave each girl a teddy, toy teddy house, and bubbles. Ashley named her teddy Cuddles.

Our week

Not too much new this week. Ashley has daisy's on Wednesday, they are having a lady come that has life size teddy bears with disabilities. They move and talk, the kids can interact with them and learn about people with disabilities. Ashley is so excited about this, if I get any pics I will post them.

The girls, Ashley and Alyssa, have decided to play soccer this spring. I am happy that they are doing something, but now our entire Saturday will be taken. Plus they will each have 1 night of practice, so we won't have any free evenings between them and Isaac.

This Saturday Lexi has majorette practice from 10-12. Then Isaac has a birthday party at 1 til 2:30, and Ashley has one from 5 til ? And Sunday we have church and fellowship dinner, then for majorettes we have a spaghetti dinner. So even before sports start our weekend is crazy.

Undefeated Champs!

Isaac's indoor soccer team won the championship tonight!! They were undefeated and had a great season. Our coach is a great guy and a very good soccer coach. He has been Isaac's coach since he was six and, this past fall they won the championship also. Spring soccer will be starting soon and we have almost the same team, so hopefully we will have a winning season.

Ashley came home from school today so excited. Her music teacher made up a song called "We Love You, Dr. Seuss" and her homeroom teacher picked three kids from the class to sing it, on the announcements Friday morning for Dr. Seuss' birthday. Well Ashley was picked. She was also picked at the beginning of the month to count to 100 on the anouncements for the 100th day of school. Today was funny hair day, so she went as Daisy Head Maisy. This morning we were saying when she grows up she is going to be a teacher and she said she is actually going to be a pastor.

Alyssa is reading very well. This morning she was reading Green Eggs and Ham without any help. This is great for a preschooler. Now she is reading a Dick and Jane book. I am so proud of her. Most preschooler are learning their letters and she is reading books. Yea, Lys!

What's happening this week

Our week has started out better than last week when everyone ended up sick. Ashley's school is celebrating Dr. Seuss' birthday this week, every day they have something special to wear. Today it is funny hat day, she wore a Chi Chi's sombrero.

Lexi is anxiously awaiting Wednesday when Josh has a hockey game, she likes to go, not to watch the game but to socialize.

Isaac has a championship soccer game on Thursday, his team is undefeated. Last night a coach called from the U-12 soccer team and wants Isaac to play for him this spring, this is in addition to playing U-10 soccer and baseball. I think spring is our busiest time of the year. Lexi will start her parades for majorettes then too. Ashley and Alyssa are not playing anything this spring, yet.

On Thursday I have a meeting with Alyssa's teacher, they always praise her for how much she helps in class, and say she is going to grow up and be a teacher. Well I guess that is all I know right now, take care.

Isaac is always making everyone laugh, with faces, sounds, and most of all his never ending comments. He just got grillz (gold cover up for your teeth, rap stars, athletes, and others wear these), so he is really cool now. He does have a serious side, he is very quiet when he is not joking around.
